Biography
Lucas A. Scheer is an industry expert in Capital Markets and Investor Owner intelligence with a specialty in Asian equities. Spanning a 40-year Wall Street career including tenures with Shearson Lehman Brothers, McCormick & Pryor, Ltd., Georgeson & Co. and Morrow & Co., Mr. Scheer developed an expertise in identifying abnormal trading and atypical ownership patterns across world equity markets. In 1999, Mr. Scheer joined Acumen Partners LLC in Westport, Connecticut. As Senior Vice President, he headed the firm’s Global Equity Surveillance, Corporate Governance and Proxy Service divisions supporting large and mega-cap issuers across Europe and Asia.
A first generation American and fluent in German and French, Lucas’ ability to understand nuanced client expectations across different regional cultures underpinned his success as an international IR advisor. In his career, Mr. Scheer has worked on numerous proxy campaigns and contests across Europe, Asia and the Americas. Lucas graduated from Long Island University in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and furthered his training at the New York Institute of Finance and New York University.
