LS Global President Lucas Scheer discussed how virtual communications changed investor engagement in Japan.
Lucas Scheer, president of LS Global Advisors in Japan, noted that virtual meetings and videoconferences were rarely used in the country before the pandemic because of security concerns and corporate policies.
As travel became restricted, companies and investors adopted virtual communications much more quickly. Scheer observed that the change may have moved business practices in Japan forward by years while preserving access to foreign investors.
